Come on in and try out one of our almost famous signature drinks like our extremely refreshing “Sunset on 75th” made with house infused pineapple vodka, or wake up with our awesome bloody marys!  Along with all of our wonderful drinks, we serve the full menu from 11am-1:30am so whether you are out and about for lunch or in need of a late night snack, you can rely on us for a great meal almost any time of day.  Our happy hour is from 4pm-7pm with discounts on domestic drafts, most bottled beers, rail drinks, house wines, and canned Natural Light, Miller Lite, and Coors Light, along with many food specials too!  By popular demand, we are continuing our $1 draft special and $5.99 Steamed Shrimp through the summer with reduced hours.  Get yourself in between 11am-4pm to take advantage of this STOOPID CHEAP deal!!!  
ATTENTION!! ATTENTION!! ATTENTION!! The canoe race date has been determined!  WEDNESDAY JULY 6TH, 10 AM!!!!!!!  Must be 21+ with valid ID.  Anyone in the service industry should ask off now!  You will need to get together a team of 4 people, including two girls and two boys.  If you have never been before, it is great fun, with awesome people, and a chance of winning a cash prize and large trophy!  
The entertainment line up this week is as follows:    Friday night, the one and only, “Tranzfusion” takes the stage at 9pm and playing until 1am!  And on Saturday night, “Thin Ice” dance band will be playing between 9pm-1am!  Go ahead and put your dancing shoes on now, this week at BJ’s is one you do not want to miss! 
Last Wednesday, we heard “Lennon La Ricci and the Trendsetter Band”  for the first time here at BJ’s. Everyone loved them and we look forward to having them back again.

Here we go again, ringing in another great season, as Memorial Day weekend approaches! We hope everyone's "off season" treated you well!
    As you are out and about this week make sure to keep BJ's on the top of your list of places to go. Be sure to come in and check out our new menu and all it has to offer! We serve the full menu from 11am-1:30am every day. Happy hour is Monday-Friday, 4-7, and late night happy hour is 10pm-close. We offer a lot of drink and food specials.
    A few new things on the menu include: House infused Pineapple Vodka; One pound of Colossal Lump Crab Meat served with old bay and drawn butter; and a Blue Cheese Wedge Salad with an 8oz. Strip steak!
    Every day we serve up the best lunch specials in town. Monday: Pork loin Sandwich. Tuesday: Pan fried Flounder w/ a garden salad. Wednesday: French Dip Sandwich. Thursday: Half a rotisserie chicken w/ a garden salad. Friday: Pan fried grouper w/ a garden salad. And on both, Saturday & Sunday: Steak & eggs with homefries and toast!
    BJ's is always the place to be for all your music needs! This Friday we will be hosting the one and only "Tranzfusion" from 9pm-1am. On Saturday, "It's About Time" takes the stage 9pm-1am!!! Make sure to get in early to get a seat at the bar or a table for your party!

Halloween Happy Hour Party starts at 5pm with our house band, “Teenage Rust and the Fabulous Rustettes” including the infamous owners of BJ’s, Billy & Madlyn Carder, along with their great friends and very talented musicians that make this band one you don’t want to miss!  They will be rocking out until 8pm!  Not finished dancing???     If you missed last week’s performance of Joe Mama and Paul Cullen from Bad Company…….I don’t know what to tell you other than sorry about your luck.  They did a 3 hour set that packed Longboard Café like a night club!  What a way to end the regular season of performances.  We will have some special acts coming up soon; such as Grammy-winning keyboardist/composer Gregg Karukas on Thursday, Sept. 17.  Keep your eye on coconut times to make sure you don’t miss out.  
    Attention loyal diners and libation enthusiasts.  Longboard Café will be changing the food and beverage menu for the fall in the next few weeks.  Look for some fun new fall inspired cocktails, and pumpkin beers to compliment our delicious food!  Woo Hoo pumkin beer time!  The kitchen has fun menu changes and special nights coming up.  Look for brunch, fajita night, and comfort food night coming soon.

Welcome to another week of BJ’s news and happenings.  As Labor Day is quickly approaching, it may feel like summer is coming to an end, but don’t stress; we are open all year serving up the same great food and drinks with top notch service!  Come try one of our almost famous signature drinks ranging from a “lemon meringue” to a “sunset on 75th” and don’t forget we have freshly squeeze orange and grapefruit crushes too!
    Here at BJ’s we serve the full menu from 11am until 1:30am! So whether you are out and about for lunch, or headed home late night, look no further, we have everything you need here!! Happy hour is Monday- Friday 3pm-7pm, and late night happy hour includes, Sunday-Thursday 10pm-close.  Daily duck feeding at 1pm!  We have lunch specials every day of the week, a soup of the day, fish of the day, and so much more!
    Looking for a spot to watch football?  You’re in luck!  We have the NFL football package so you can catch any game you are looking for!  And for all you Redskins fans, we are THE Redskins Headquarters. Come help us start the game with the fight song and cheer along with all your fellow diehard fans!
    As always, BJ’s is the place to be on your Friday and Saturday nights, with live entertainment from 9pm-1am.  This Friday we will be hosting “Over Time”, and Saturday night, let’s get jazzy with “No Byscuyts”. Make sure you get here early to get a seat at the bar or a table for your party!  And don’t forget, here at BJ’s there is never a cover or a minimum!
    Exciting news!!!!!!  BJ’s deck parties are starting back up this upcoming Wednesday, September 9th, where we will have “Old School” on stage - starts at 5 and ends at 8!  Happy hour lasts from 3pm until the band stops playing!  Get your dance shoes out, we will see you there!

Byron Anthony & Joe Mama, Reform School and Whiskey Belly.  Our own Lindsey (CRUSH BAR) even joined Monkee Paw on stage to belt out some awesome vocals … you rocked it, Sista!!

    We added breakfast to our menu and it was a hit. We have breakfest Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 12 pm. Check out our facebook page, fatfishocmd, for pics of all the new food Chef Mitch is creating.
    Happy Hour is Monday through Friday, 2 to 5. We have $3 Sangria/Wine/Saki, $1.50 Natural Lights, $2.50 Domestic Bottles, $3.50 Imports and HOOP Tea!

    First let me mention an unfortunate incident from last month (I have been a bit absent on my blog lately, sorry Brenda.)  Longboard Café lost our chef, and dear friend Duffy Taylor.  You are missed along with your talent in the kitchen.  Safe home friend.  
    Owner Rick Vach and Duffy received a present in the mail this week.  Remember a few months ago when jets and stunt planes were flying around the city, or as we call it, OC airshow?  We were lucky enough to have some of the talented pilots of the world famous Blue Angels join us at Longboard.  They sent autographed framed pictures of them flying over Pearl Harbor.  They are awesome, and look great hanging in the dining room!  Thank you guys….we appreciate you!  Our friend Janet Sisson from Heavy Seas brewery stopped by to say hi.  Maybe we will have you guys on tap again.  Crew 10 of the OCPB were in for our world famous happy hour the other day.  Keep up the good work, but most importantly keep having fun!
    Despite the recent loss of our chef, the kitchen has been putting out amazing specials.  Last week was a Burley Oak root beer bbq sauce on a pork ribeye over spinach carrots red cabbage in a pork broth.  This dish is amazing and will be making it to the menu soon!  This weekend we will be doing a poke appetizer.  Poke is a Hawaiian tuna tartar dish over fried wontons with a wasabi crema.  Our featured entrée will be a blackened swordfish topped with avocado butter with a roasted corn and black bean salsa over wild rice.   I’m personally looking forward to this weekend’s food!
    Make sure you stop by and check out our live music this week.  This week we are featuring Friday 9/4 Time Police, Sunday 9/6 Joe Mama w/Paul Cullen from Bad Company.  Yes, you read that right… Bad Company… classic band from England... Maybe you heard their song “Bad Company.”
