Who’s the best classic rock band in town? Well, of course, it’s Tranzfusion! Tranzfusion has been together for more than a quarter of a century and has a set list exceeding 200 classics including more than 20 Rolling Stones tunes. Whether they are playing Aerosmith, Cream, Doors, Beatles, Hendrix, Jethro Tull, Moody Blues, Police, Tom Petty, Zeppelin or ZZ Top - they sound just like the original recordings.
Band members include Bob Davis on keyboard and vocals, Hank Koenig on guitar and vocals, Tom Malaby on bass and vocals and his brother Bobby Malaby on drums and vocals. Yes, all members have good voices and they all sing! This band also brings at least one sound man to each gig so they always sound their very best. Tranzfusion hails from our own Eastern Shore and received Coconut Times‚ 2009 Entertainers of the Year award. They are one of my favorite bands and if you’ve heard them before, I’m sure you’ll agree that you always have a fabulous time at a Tranzfusion show.
If you haven’t heard Tranzfusion, here’s your chance. They will start between 9 and 9:30 tonight (Friday 7/1) at Coins, so be there! They will also be at M. R. Ducks this Sunday. For more band info visit

Enjoy this classic rock band and be prepared to dance the night away while having a delightful evening at Coins Pub & Restaurant on 28th & Coastal Highway! Yes, my friends, in addition to the bar and dining areas, Coins has a large dance floor, so put on your dancing shoes and head on out to Coins tonight. We all know Coins for its great food and family friendly atmosphere. Now my friends, let’s get the word out that it’s also a wonderful venue to hear live music!
I can almost taste their delicious crab cakes now and their house salad is my favorite in the city. In addition to their wonderful dinner menu, they have a great lite fare menu. Perhaps you’d like to try their Clams Casino, BBQ or Steamed Shrimp, Chicken Fingers, Potato Skins, Chili, Crab Soup or a delicious Burger or Reuben Sandwich. I’m sure you’ll be well pleased with whatever you order. Be sure to check out the dessert case and just give in to your sweet tooth! Reservations aren’t needed but I think I’ll call anyway so we get a table close to the band and dance floor. Hope to see you there! For more info, visit
