What’s up, friends? Hope everyone is having a fantastic second season and catching up with friends now that the resort has slowed down to a snail’s pace. Just keep us in mind when you’re looking for something different to do — something different from the same old, same old of the downtown scene. We love love love our downtown friends, but it’s always wonderful to see y’all at our uptown spot!
We’re still open all day, every day, with lunch and dinner specials all winter long. We have $5.50 lunch every day until 4 p.m. On Mondays, we have hot roast beef with fries and gravy as well as half-price burgers; Tuesdays, we have chicken pot pie; Wednesdays, meat loaf with mashed potatoes and gravy; Thursdays, roast pork with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes; and Fridays, fish and homemade chips.
Our nightly dinner specials are: Monday, half-priced burgers and fries; Tuesdays, $7.95 liver and onions with mashed potatoes and gravy; Wednesdays, half-priced entreés, with the exception of crab dishes; and on Thursdays, $8.95 roast pork with sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and one vegetable.
Tuesday is still lobster night! Stop by for a 1.25-pound lobster and two sides for $12.95.
We also have happy hour prices from the time we open our doors until 7 p.m., though Natural Lights (in a bottle, no less … ooh la la) are just $1.50 all the daggone time!
There is still time to get your hands on some raffle tickets to win a signed and framed Terrell Suggs jersey and a signed and framed Joe Flacco jersey, among other Baltimore memorabilia. Tickets cost $5 each or $20 for five, and the drawing will be at halftime of the Ravens-Chiefs game on Dec. 13. Stop by and check out the goods. Proceeds benefit the Island Café softball team.
Joey Harkum and the boys of Pasadena are heading back from sunny Florida soon, and they’ll be at the Island Café on Dec. 10 to perform. Stop by to check them out and take advantage of our $3 Blue Moon drafts and $5 grape and cherry bombs. Chances are, some pretty repulsive spiced rum will be making its way around as well.
