Happy Snowpocalypse, Barhoppers! What a crazy winter it has been. Congratulations to Joe Vitt and the New Orleans Saints for their first Super Bowl win. I know Moe is happy. We’re glad we have local musicians who are able to help when needed—many thanks to Joe Mama and Dave Sherman for helping ensure that we had music for our Super Bowl party, since some of the Rustettes couldn’t make it in. We’re sincerely grateful to all who braved the icy conditions—we had an awesome event thanks to all of the usual suspects. I hear that Maddy & Billy were tearing up the dance floor. I can only imagine how that party was. And Wednesday Deckless Deck Parties have turned into Snow Parties! We’ve got to enjoy this while we can—we’ll soon be complaining that it’s too hot.
BJ’s has extra special plans for the holiday weekend and want you to join us. Opposite Directions plays on Friday and Saturday night at 9 p.m. Then on Sunday, treat your Valentine right by coming to BJ’s. Maddy and Fritz have come up with some romantic dishes in addition to our regular menu. Try the Romeo & Juliet Stuffed Salmon, Succulent Shrimp, Shrimp and More Shrimp, or a Filet Mignon. Or how about a Pucker Up? We’ll definitely have the champagne flowing! We can’t let you go without live entertainment on Valentine’s Day. Dawn and the Williams Project will be here at 8 p.m. For those of you doing the anti-Valentine’s Day thing, not to worry—we’re still ready to celebrate the fact that Monday is President’s Day, which probably means a day off for a lot of you visitors. Come on out!
The off-season has been entertaining so far. Not only have we seen a lot of regulars, but have met a lot of new friends. It’s always fun to see Brent and Dan from L.A., Ernie & Sabrina, Dave L., Todge & Cindy, Rick & Lisa, Jimmy, Del, Jason & Terri, Anton, Linda, Donna & Tim, Betsy and Carmel, Steve & Lauren Glick, Skip & Kim, Bob & Kim, Brian & Diane, Mike & Margie, Bill & Roberta, Sam & Paula, Bill (La Ha) & Sandy, George, John, Char, Norm W, Mario, Karen Fritz (Smitty McGee’s), Jesse & Bonnie, Terry & Rick, Linda, Eunice, Kathy and Wanda. Of course, it’s always nice to see Pino bring his Fresco’s staff in—we had a lot of fun with Gina, Max, Barry and the crew. Remind me next time that I’m not working, please. We even saw the Queen herself one Friday night---thanks Billy & Maddy for bringing your crew in. I heard Bones spent some time with us on a snow day—taking over for Frank Frank’s duck feeding duties. Quack Quack!
Finally, Happy 21st Birthday to Loren! Happy Birthday to Wade! And Happy Anniversary to Alex & Christy. We love you all!
Check out our website for current weekly lunch and dinner specials—we even have 66 menu items for under $10! Is it baseball season yet? CC
