Hello Barhoppers—guest columnist Christy here…Renee was off getting married, oops—I mean, was at a wedding.  But speaking of married—Congratulations Renee and Keith (Galaxy 66) on their engagement!! 
 Happy Sunfest!  By now, Teenage Rust and the Fabulous Rustettes are back from their tour downtown—they always put on a great show and I hope everyone made it out.  Last weekend was fun-filled with the bikers and the rest of our favorite friends.  Cheryl was in, along with Chip & Connie, Norm Welch, Ellis & Lynda, Bill & Sherry, Tasty (Fresco’s), Dancing John (who wasn’t dancing, but Happy Birthday anyway), Stoli O Mike, Scott & Tracy, Jeff & Eileen, Moe, Bob & Patty, Gerry & Linda, Russ & Marie, Hugh, Andy (I was 100% this weekend!), Absolut Mike, Frank Miller, Brent (LA), Lou, Kenny, Mindy, DC, Barry (Fresco’s), Jimmy and many more.
 We even got Brent Curd to stay around for an extra beer this weekend…I guess it was good that the Ravens were on the big screen until the main event at BJ’s came around—Washington Redskins football.  Yes, it was a disappointing loss, but the boys still looked good.  We had Patrick for almost a full shift that day, and many others were in having a good time—Tom & Ashley (congrats on the engagement), Nancy, Dale, Rick, Chip, Russell, Scott & Flora (Phillips), Joe & Kathy, Phil & Diane and many more new and old Redskins (or soon to be converts) fans.
 Nikki—thanks for having your 2-day birthday celebration with us…the employees were out in full force—Melanie (great cake!) and Derek, Hannah, Kati, Angie, Pat, Dan, Jared and Alison (Smitty’s).  It looked like fun was had by all!
 Don’t forget—we’re your one-stop shop for all the NCAA College Football games on Saturdays.  We’ll have your game—just ask us!  And of course, BJ’s is the place to be for all of the Redskins games.  We have the NFL Sunday Ticket, so we will show all of the other games, too.  So come on in for our great NFL specials. 
 This weekend’s entertainment is awesome, as always, and FREE!  Friday night Tommy Edward and Melissa Rose will be on stage at 9 p.m., and Saturday night The Mood Swingers with Lauren Glick will rock the stage at 9. These bands are incredible—you don’t want to miss either one. Aaron Howell will be here for our famous Happy Hour Deckless Deck Party on Wednesday the 29th.  The band starts at 5 p.m. and plays on until 8.  Stick around for our late night happy hour—we have drink specials from 10 p.m. til last call Sunday night - Thursday night.

    Hello everyone! The second season has begun! Football starts this weekend, so come on in for great NFL specials during the games, no matter who your team is! Redskins play Dallas at 8:30pm, but please come in earlier and watch all the games with us! We have happy hour M-F from 4-7pm and late night happy hour Sun-Thurs from 10pm-close!
    We also have live entertainment every Weds during happy hour. This week will be Poole and the Gang! This weekend, we will have Opposite Directions on Friday night at 9pm and Mood Swingers with Lauren Glick  on Saturday, also at 9pm!

    Hello, Everyone! Happy Labor Day weekend to you! Hopefully, Earl will leave us alone so we can have one last good weekend! First, let me start by wishing our own Billy Carder a belated Happy Birthday!! Hope it was a good one! Now, on to some business stuff... We have LIVE ENTERTAINMENT all three nights this weekend! Yes, you read that correctly, ALL THREE NIGHTS! Friday, we have No Byscuyts! Saturday, we have Tommy Edward and Melissa Rose! Sunday, we have 2Guyz and a Mama! It all starts at 9pm each night, so we hope to see everyone here for lots of dancing and fun! There is never a cover charge or a minimum! The fun will continue next Wednesday, when we bring 2Guyz and a Mama back for our Happy Hour "Deckless" Deck Party from 5-8pm!!
    There are always great food and drink specials available during our happy hour every M-F from 4-7pm and great drink specials during our late night happy hour Su-Th from 10pm- close! Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!!!! We have 15 great TV's for all of your football needs or wants! We are Redskins Headquarters, so come wearing your burgundy and gold!
