The last weekend of August is here, do you know where your summer went? I certainly don't... I feel like I just told Brenda (your hard-working Coco Times leader) that I hadn't even started back to work yet at The Moose, when she called me back in the beginning of May and told me that my Barhopper was due, lol... anyway, we can't stop time, so let's see what's on tap as we approach September down at The Moose!

Friday and Saturday brings the return of The White House Effect, Sunday and Monday it's Kashmir... 'nuff said! Tuesday and Wednesday is the Moose debut of Heads Up and at "press time" I'm not sure who our "almost famoose Tribute Thursday" band will be, but please check the website over the weekend to find out... www.purplemoosesaloon.com !

Alright, time for this week's shout-outs... let's start with a get well soon to my roommate Joey (he got clipped by a driver while on his scooter. "Fat Joe" is ok but everyone needs to be on the lookout for pedestrians/bikers at all times!). Next a very special welcome back to Melissa (seeing you again after 12 years was the high point of my summer... thus far!). Can't forget a happy belated "39th" birthday to Charlene, and finally, a few thank-you's to those of you who came down to party with us... Olga (so glad you came by!), Molly and Emily (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Lydia (yet another cool chick from Ohio), Diana and Roxanne (and their soft lips!), Smirky and her sister (Harford Co.), beautiful Anna, Chris and Tara (from somewhere in Pa., lol), April and her mom/dad, my next wife Liz and her girls in the bachelorette party, Dottie and Danielle, Crystal and her family, Amanda and Kelly (where was Jeffrie this year?), Chrissy and her road trip friends from West by god Virginia, Shanna, 21 year old Lacey and step-milf Jodi (York, Pa.), crazy Dolly (I wish I could tell you all her real name, but she'd punch me, lol), and before I go I wanna let Dustin and "K" know that we are thinking about them and to tell our seasonal staff (some who are starting to head home) that we really appreciate what you all do (Camille(s), Kate, and anybody else I forgot... thank you!)

Purple Moose - 8/20/10

Greetings from the world famoose Purple Moose Saloon,where the boards are rockin' nightly with the best in classic/modern rock! This weekend get ready for the "perfect" party with the return of Perfect Excuse; Sunday and Monday it's Riot House; Tuesday and Wednesday is the debut of Definite Maybe; and on this week's edition of "Tribute Thursday"... it's November Rain, paying homage to the great Guns -n- Roses!

We are still doing $1.50 select drafts/$3.50 liquor specials every night Sunday-Thursday as well as $2.50 Natural Light/Keystone bottles all of the time, and ladies, don't forget to try the Moose Joose... it's delicious (just like me, lol) and it's only $2.50 every day/all day! Angie, Kim, Liz and Cory (celebrating a divorce and a wedding), Cheryl and Melissa (Bel-Air, Md.), Andrea, Caroline and Caitlin (making the Jersey Shore look good again!), Mike, Ric, Gary, Kristin, Erin & Erica (wow, the drama, lol), Joelle, Jessica, her mom and Herman (Lancaster, Pa.), Alesia (OMG!), LJ and Kelly (I've apparently known them since 5th grade but we still can't go skinny dipping for some reason ... what's up with that? lol), Kristen (can't wait to see you and your i.d.!), all the hot chicks from Cuervo and Seven Tiki, Theresa, Cristine and Devin (thanks for staying even though Nick wasn't working), and finally, Kim, Carrie and Sherry from Bmore (Tobin McGruber McNugget, really? lmao!).

It's August and the boards are definately rockin' nightly now down at The Moose! This weekend we proudly welcome back Surreal. Sunday and Monday it's Alive-N-Kicking,Tuesday and Wednesday it's my friend Steve Brown's (from Trixter) new band... The Fallout; and on this week’s edition of "Tribute Thursday" we will all be getting Poison'd!

Now before I go I need to send my prayers out to my good friends Tom, Eric and their families... I can't begin to imagine what any of you are going through but Tom, please get better, and Eric, your mom was like a mom to me as well; she is in my thoughts and I will remember her always!
