Hello Ocean City Visitors and Locals.  Fabulous weather again this week!  Woohoo! The PURPLE MOOSE SALOON is still rocking with wonderful entertainment and drink specials. This week BAD W/ NAMES graces the PURPLE MOOSE and these boys know how to get the crowd moving and groovin'. And then this Sunday and Monday our hometown boys return to bring in Labor Day festivities; they are the one and only FUZZBOX PIRANHA. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights check out our fun and feisty DJ / VJ's with some great drink specials on hand. And then the best line up in Ocean City for Bike Week is here and I'm just gonna list them so you have it at your fingertips. Friday & Saturday it's AWAKEN, Sunday & Monday is GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY, Tuesday is JUDAS PRIESTESS! Wednesday, AC/DC tribute HIGH VOLTAGE, Thursday is FUZZBOX PIRANHA and Friday & Saturday is SURREAL. P.S. This is the holiday we are celebrating this weekend. Labor Day in the United States is a holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September. It is a celebration of the American labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

    Wow!!! Where did this summer go? First and foremost let us express our heartfelt THANKS to the staff at the PURPLE MOOSE SALOON. As always nothing is possible without each and every one of you.  In the boutique the fabulous and sassy Shirley and Pertra. You brought smiles and laughter to us every day. At the door the ever so entertaining and astute door staff, Alexander, Delcho, Hunter, Obren, Stavri, Stefan, Venelin and Zlatin. You guys do a great job! To our spectacular bartenders, Bobby, John, Bryan, Jude and Tyler who always treat each customer like family and make us laugh; and assisting them at the bar, our barbacks TJ and David who keep things flowing. Our managers  Maria, Paulette, Mike and Scott, you all keep the show running and Rich, our sound guy, thanks for taking such good care of the bands. THANK YOU ALL!!!
    And finally, to our CUSTOMERS, you ROCK!  Thanks for supporting great music and our insanity!
    Now on to our entertainment,  WHITEHOUSE EFFECT will rock the stage this Friday and Saturday nights. They play lots of party rock, so plan on getting your dance on. Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons Video DJ's Jammin Jeff & Chuck start at 2 pm and they will play all of your favorite tunes. Just give them a request; if they have it then you'll hear it. This Sunday and Monday it's GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY entertaining you with some solid classic rock and a few originals. Also NO Cover Sunday-Wednesday. On Tuesday and Wednesday the return of FUZZBOX PIRANHA. We just love these hometown boys and we guarantee you will too!
    Also mark your calendars for THE RISING a Tribute to BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN AND THE E-STREET BAND on August 28th. These guys come here from California and they sure do put on a great show. Show starts at 10, and if you know anything about Springsteen, you know that he plays really long sets and so do they!  Have a great week in OC!

    Hello Ocean City! The weather is exceptional and our entertainment can be described the same way. This weekend the one and only SURREAL returns to OC. They are Maryland's premier rock band and a favorite here at the PURPLE MOOSE SALOON. Rock music, Captain Morgan  and good times seem to flow steady at the MOOSE when SURREAL is in town so join us! Remember Sunday through Wednesday there is NO COVER.
    Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons 2-6 pm are the entertaining sounds from DJ /VJ's, CK or Jammin Jeff; they play your favorite tunes. Sunday and Monday nights we welcome back FUZZBOX PIRANHA. These guys definitely know how to rock and everyone seems to enjoy themselves dancing the night away.
    On Tuesday and Wednesday nights we welcome back GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY, a legendary rock band that has been on the scene for quite some time - they are a favorite! Thursday night is a tribute to the BEATLES with APPLE SCRUFFS. Tribute Thursdays have been a hoot and this Thursday should not be any different. So make your plans for the 22nd and the 23rd as WHITEHOUSE EFFECT heads back into town. Until next week... PEACE... Char.

    Greetings Ocean City. We hope you are well and enjoying your summer. The PURPLE MOOSE SALOON has been the home for classic rock and roll for many many years and this week’s entertainment is full of energy and fun starting with the return of STIFF RICHARD this Friday and Saturday nights. They really enjoy playing music and entertaining the crowd so stop on in and enjoy the show; you won't be disappointed.
    On Monday and Tuesday nights The PIRANHAS make their debut in Ocean City. Some of you might remember the guys from No Green Jelly Beans. This band is a mix of the old guys and some new ones and the last time they were here these boys rocked the house. Every Sunday through Wednesday nights we don't have a cover and we always have some great drink specials; just ask our friendly bartenders about our specials or check out our drink menus. And remember the PURPLE MOOSE SALOON is known for our World Famoose Bloody Mary's. People come from all over the country to enjoy them.
    Now back to our entertainment, on Tuesday and Wednesday nights the boys are back in town, you know  and love them, they are GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY. These guys are a favorite of any classic rock fans and you won't be disappointed. This Week’s TRIBUTE band, NIGHT TRAIN, is a tribute to GUNS & ROSES.  This is an excellent band if you love Guns & Roses; they take the stage around 10, so get here early if you want a seat. And then the one and only SURREAL returns on August 15 & 16.
