    It's the 20th season for me at the PURPLE MOOSE SALOON and as I get ready for this season, I am very excited. The entertainment at the MOOSE this year will knock your socks off. I've put a full page ad (thanks, Terri French for your insight and design!) this week in the Coconut Times and The Dispatch. I think this will show you just what we are talking about. My suggestion for all  of you PURPLE MOOSE TRIBUTE Fans is to pull it out and post it, to remind you when they are coming to the Moose.     This weekend we have CANDLELIGHT RED in the house; that's Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They just released their new single, "Closer." It dropped Tuesday nationwide, and they go out on tour with EGYPT CENTRAL AND ABUSED ROMANCE in June. And then Monday night, for all you Led Zeppelin fans, me included, KASHMIR, KASHMIR, KASHMIR. These guys will be here just twice this summer, Monday night and then not again until September, so  don't miss out.
    Our Staff this year is shaping up quite nicely, with lots of folks returning for the summer, so stop in and say Hello! Our friendly bartenders, John, Bobby, Jeff, Mary Kay, Erin, Kim, Billy, and Juli will be making all of your favorites cocktails.  Maria, Scotty, Kim, Paulette, Gary and I will be on deck; Debbie, Shirley and Katarina are always taking care of the Lottery for all of you.     Hey OC, whazzzz uuppppppp??  Hope this hopper finds you well. I don't know about you, but it's the time of year we love: beautiful cars speeding down the highway, lots of people stopping in to say hello, and years of friendship acknowledged and renewed.  These are just a few of the things I love about Cruisin. I remember when I was a young lass and the first time "Cruisin" hit the town, Cadillac Jacks was open and we threw their first welcoming party.  It was a blast back then, and still is today. By the time you read this their welcoming party will be over but the people will be rockin the Purple Moose. Other than a few grey hairs, the smiles are the same - bright and beautiful.   
    Well I think I need to send an apology to Dr. Clem’s wife. My acid wit got me in trouble again; no harm meant, so hope you accept this apology.
    TAM classes are busy, there is one this Tuesday, 10 am at Halls,. You need to register, the number is 800-921-1381, make sure you bring your ID, no exceptions. Two folks did not get a certificate last month because they didn't have ID ... not my rule but the Comptrollers office.  Also, it's that time of year, CADETS ARE OUT !!!  Stay on your toes!
    Entertainment Happenings:  Broadcast takes the stage tonight and tomorrow night at 10 pm. DJ Joey Capo is here today and tomorrow afternoon at 2 pm.  He will Rock the house with all of your favorite tunes, trivia and prizes.  Next weekend Candlelight Red is here Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They just signed a deal with Imogen Records and have an album in the studio. These guys were voted best of all KISS bands across the country last year, so don't miss out.  KASHMIR on Monday, May 30 and KIX on June 30th.
    Shout out to JJ McKay. We miss ya Man, but we know you love baseball and radio, so you must be in heaven. Check him out on WQMR, Q101 FM, or at the Shorebird Stadium any night there is a home game - Go Birds.

    Howdy Ocean City, whazzzzz uppp????  We had a rocking weekend with "Stiff Richard", lol at their name. Guys in bands always want to name their bands after body parts... and they think women have issues with weight. PFTTTTT.  Anyway, the Moose was filled with lots of fantastic people, Sherri and Don, who have actually worn down the dance floor with their melodic dance moves stopped in, along with the The Cork Folks, Kenny from OC Wasabi, Aaron and Jay from Pickles, and many others.
    Unfortunately, I'm getting to the age when I don't remember peoples name, so it’s not that you're not memorable, it's just my brain section that handles that job is full and refuses to work anymore.
    This weekend "Alive n Kickin" will take the stage Friday and Saturday nights, big hair music for all you 80's rockers, and   DJ Joey Capo is here every Saturday afternoon from 2-6 pm, playing all your requests and favorites.
    We would like to welcome LEHIGH UNIVERSITY to the Purple Moose  along with Saturday’s Pub Crawl folks. These people know how to party and the Moose really looks forward to seeing all their crazy hats and antics.

    Helloooo Ocean City!  I must say I am so excited to get this party started. It's time to shake off the cobwebs, color my hair, wax those ....eyebrows, you know the good old spring cleaning kind of stuff that tells me the season is about to KICK IN. This year the Purple Moose Saloon is going to bring you some of the finest entertainment around, and if you don't believe, me just check us out on the web at www.purplemoose.com, click on the Entertainment tab, and then drool.  For those of you who can't get to the web right now or just not motivated, let me tell you what you have to look forward to this summer.
    First off, Stiff Richard is back to kick off Springfest weekend, that's May 6 and 7th. We are open every day 11 am to 2 am with the best Bloody Mary's, cold beer, and tastiest drinks. If that doesn't strike your fancy, Keno, Race Trax and 7 large flat screens with sports on all the time might work; worst case scenario - you can always look at the beach and boardwalk with all the fun people walking around. And if that doesn't do it for you, call the undertaker and order yourself a box.
    The following weekends Alive n Kickin will rock the house, followed by "Broadcast", then Candlelight Red for Memorial weekend. Also Kashmir, our Led Zeppelin Tribute band is here on Monday, May 30. Don't miss this band if you love them because they are only here  twice this summer, May 30, and then not again until September 18th.  
    Now the BIG News is we are doing some very special Tribute Nights (Every Thursday Night). I have searched across the country and have found some unbelievable talent. Here is a list of some of them:  "Alter EAGLES", "Everybody Wants Some", "Poison'd", "Kick it Out" (Heart), "Almost Queen", "Apple Scruffs" (a tribute to the Beatles), "Odyssey" (Journey), "Crazy Fish" (Rolling Stones), "Toys in the Attic"  (Aerosmith), "Soft Parade" (Doors), and many more.
