Hello OC,  I love this weather! I have a friend, Louise Gulyas, who told me something a  long time ago during Hurricane Charlie. We were all gathered on the floor at ACE Printing and Mailing in Berlin. She said "once we have a hurricane the weather never stays hot for the rest of the season." Well, Mrs. Gulyas, so far it seems that you know what you’re talking about and I'm not complaining because I love this weather!
    Now that I've reminisced, let's talk about the future. The Entertainment lineup for this week is incredible and I am so looking forward to hanging out with some friends. First off, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon at 2 pm we have Video DJ's playing good tunes and giving away some great prizes. Come on in, cool off and enjoy the view of the most magnificent Atlantic Ocean. If it's nighttime entertainment you’re looking for, then this Friday and Saturday nights enjoy the crazy antics of WHITEHOUSE EFFECT.    These talented young men will grace the PURPLE MOOSE SALOON stage and your hearts for sure. They know how to have a good time and you got to get here to experience the fun. On Sunday and Monday nights check out VenDetta, old school solid classic rock, with great vocals.  Mike Mead from Frankie and the Actions is in this band; stop in and say Hello! On Tuesday and Wednesday nights the boys return from DIRT. They love to rock out playing some great Alternative, Classic and Modern music; they also add some kick ass vocals from Billy and the boys. You will enjoy yourself immensely.
    Then TRIBUTE THURSDAY brings in HIGH VOLTAGE a tribute to AC/DC.  The last time these guys were here the Purple Moose was packed. People dressed up like the band and it was insane, and oh so fun!!!! I'm laughing right now just thinking about last year. Get here early to get a seat and make sure you arrange a ride or taxi home. Come on down and enjoy the show.

    Wow, time is flying by; you ever notice the older you get the faster it gets? I just looked at the calendar and realized I'm writing about entertainment for the end of July, smh!   Tonight the PURPLE MOOSE SALOON is rocking the beach with FRANKIE & THE ACTIONS. The boys haven't been playing together for a few years and decided it's time for a REUNION SHOW, so you won't want to miss this!  These boys tear it up and the crowd loves them, so make your way down to the PURPLE MOOSE. They are also here Saturday night if you can't make it on Friday.
    We have DJ/VJ's every Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 2 - 6 pm. CK the VJ/DJ runs the jams on Friday and Sunday. DJ JAMMIN JEFF hits the stage every Saturday; he does trivia with prize giveaways for the correct answers and also plays everything you want to hear.
    Then GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY returns for Sunday and Monday nights. An Ocean City favorite, GTR plays some solid classic rock with Will McEntyre on lead guitar and Dave Capazolli on bass. Check them out; you'll be glad you did.
    On Tuesday and Wednesday night it's our infamous VJ/DJ's dance party; they play what you want to hear so just write it down or ask! We also have great draft specials on Tuesday and Wednesday nights with No Cover. Every Thursday night is Tribute night and we sure do have one for you this week! It’s the IDOL KINGS, a tribute to JOHN COUGAR MELLENCAMP and JOURNEY. They are fantastic. And then Friday and Saturday nights, July 25 & 26, it's WHITEHOUSE EFFECT!!!     Hello OC. What a great week we've been having with cooling breezes and temperatures!  This week the World Famoose PURPLE MOOSE SALOON is rocking with incredible entertainment and spectacular ice cold drinks. Let's talk about our entertainment first.
    This weekend starts off with STIFF RICHARD on Friday and Saturday nights.... and YES there is a COVER.  These guys and girl are fantastic and will have you dancing all night long. We would like to welcome back JENN on the Drums; you've been missed!!!! A local favorite,  FUZZBOX PIRANHA, takes the stage this Sunday and Monday nights and there is NO COVER, and every Monday we have Malibu specials for your enjoyment. Every other Tuesday and Wednesday nights this summer it's DIRT, a great rock band, really nice guys and NO COVER with drafts specials both nights
    On Thursday night it's ODYSSEY ROAD, a tribute to JOURNEY, all the way from Florida. These guys play every year and are a crowd favorite for TRIBUTE night. They promise to kick ass so don't miss out on a great night of music.  And finally, rounding off next weekend is FRANKIE & THE ACTIONS. This is a re-union show, and you will only see this on the PURPLE MOOSE STAGE. So now you see what I'm talking about when I say we have a fantastic entertainment line-up.     Now onto PURPLE MOOSE LIBATIONS: we strive at making some of the best cocktails and Bloody Mary's on the beach.     Hello, OC. The heat is on and the water temperature is wonderful. It's reported that another heat wave is coming. We have some of the best entertainment on the East Coast booked this summer and we hope you have a moment to stop in and say Hello!
    This weekend the one and only SURREAL will be rocking the PURPLE MOOSE SALOON for 4th of July festivities. On Sunday and Monday night it's BACK BY SUNRISE  playing their sweet sounding classic rock and modern rock music.  Tuesday and Wednesday it's DJ/VJ JAMMIN JEFF and on Thursday night it’s Tribute Thursday with the IDOL KINGS, a tribute to Journey and John Cougar Mellencamp; an excellent band that I really enjoyed last year.
