Wow!!! Where did this summer go? First and foremost let me express my heartfelt THANKS to the staff at the PURPLE MOOSE SALOON. As always nothing is possible without each and every one of you.  In the boutique the fabulous and sassy Shirley, Debbie, Alzibeta, Clair, Amy and Aisling; you ladies brought smiles and laughter to us every day. To our very first female door person, Aisling, she was stupendous and fierce!  At the door the ever so entertaining Trey, Ron, Danny, Alex, Sabi, DJ, Bogden and the utterly ridiculous Irish lads Rory, Jamie, Mark, and Barry, F-off all of you, pudding.
    To our spectacular bartenders, Bobby, John, Jeff, Kyle, Marykay, Scott, Bryan, and Aldo who always treat each customer like family, and assisting them at the bar, getting the bartenders’ back are Brian and Tyler who keep things flowing. Our managers Kim, Maria, Paulette, Jeff and Skip, you all keep the show running and deserve a gold star, however Maria gets two, lol. To Rich, our sound guy, you do a great job. Thanks for treating the bands like royalty; however, PLEASE make an appointment with a hearing specialist. And finally to my partner in crime Mr. Gary Walker, what a blast we had,  and to Scott, our silent patron who made this summer most pleasant.  THANK YOU!!!
    And finally to our CUSTOMERS, you ROCK! Thanks for supporting great music and our insanity!
    Now on to our entertainment. OUTBREAK will rock the stage this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They play lots of party rock so plan on getting your dance on. Saturday and Sunday afternoon DJ Joey Capo at 2 pm will play all of your favorite tunes and then Sunday through Thursday, DJ Calico will mix it up each night; he really has a great repertoire of tunes.     Hey OC, what a great week! The DEW Tour ripped it and a blast was had by all. Thanks to all the Purple Moose Staff for doing such a great job, as always. YOU ROCK! To the Dew Athletes, thanks; you brought us much laughter and good times, and to the visitors who support OC, TY, TY, TY.  
    Have you been working hard?  Do you ever want to just let go and have some fun?  Is the work-a-day you seeking release in a good time?  Then it's time to connect with Alter Ego, appearing on the Moose's stage this Friday and Saturday, August 24 and 25.  As the band plays you can become Better Than Ezra, or Good Charlotte, Billy Idol or Incubus, even Lady Gaga or Violent Femmes [though those last two are rather similar], ANY MUSICAL PERSONALITY you choose to lose yourself in! Come and play with Alter Ego at the Purple Moose Saloon, Ocean City's ONLY boardwalk nightclub, located between Talbot and Caroline Streets in Olde Town.
    Saturday night at the Moose will include a special performance by Otherwise, currently touring the states promoting their new album True Love Never Dies which includes their hit single "Soldiers". From the comments on their Facebook page, these hard rockers are making fans wherever they go.  Come and see a band working their way up the charts! Up next it's Under the Covers, rested and refreshed and ready to rock!  Wake up and smell the good times, kick off your slippers and put on your dancing shoes, and don't just dream it, live it with Under the Covers, Sunday and Monday, August 26 and 27.  
    Then, fresh from the dirty water of Pittsburgh, Pa., Walk of Shame comes strutting into the Moose. They're proud, loud and rock the crowd with covers that run a spectrum from “Sweet Caroline” to “Crazy Train,” so climb onboard Tuesday and Wednesday, August 28 and 29.  
    Don't stop believin', tribute band Idol Kings enthrone themselves on the stage Thursday, August 30.  Performing the songs of Journey and John Cougar Mellencamp, it's two! two! two-shows-in-one! Even if your name's not Jack and Diane, you'll have a royal time as you listen to the hits of two classic rock favorites.  Don't be idle, or leave your eyes dull, come party with the Idol Kings at the World Famous Purple Moose Saloon.

    They're Dewing it again!  The Ocean City Mountain Dew Tour ramps are up and ready to rumble Friday through Sunday, August 17-19, RIGHT in front of the Purple Moose! This is your chance to see the biggest names in bike and boarding just steps away from what was their fave bar hangout during last year's tour. It's a scene that you'll want see with your own eyes, so come see it from Ocean City's ONLY boardwalk nightclub, located between Talbot and Caroline Streets in Olde Town.
    More fantastic feasts for your fun-seeking eyes appear when Surreal takes the stage on Friday and Saturday, August 17 and 18. This rock n' roll band of brothers have been conjuring magical musical moments at the Moose for good times immemorial. It's  classic sounds emanating from Surreal, so come and party with us.  All shows begin at 10 pm.
    Next up, get out of the water and come swimming with Fuzzbox Piranha, appearing Sunday and Monday, August 19 and 20.  How far-out are these guys? They've had their music played aboard the Space Shuttle! Come have them fire-up your rockets and blast off into interstellar overdrive, then splash down in one of the Moose's drink specials. These guys know the rock n' roll alphabet from AC/DC to ZZ Top, so don't be tardy, NO! Party hearty!!
    We're back in the high-life again when Hyjinx entertains on Tuesday, August 21.  Lead singer Meghan belts out Lady Gaga, Pink and Pat Benatar, so get ready to dance to musical highlights with Hyjinx.
    DJ Calico keeps the dancing going on Wednesday, August 22, when he scratches deep into the grooves of the biggest hits prone to give you fits of gogo mojo, so don't stay home yo, come let go and feel the flow, Whoa!
    Then, can you stand it! Don't let it stop, it's ZZ Top tribute band ZZ Pop on Thursday, August 23. If you want the down-home taste of real Southern-fried rock n' roll, we've set a place for you at the World Famous Purple Moose Saloon.  From “La Grange” to “Tush” to “Sharp-Dressed Man,” played clean, loud and Southern proud, these guys are so good the only way to tell the difference between them and ZZ Top is a DNA test.

    Dew you, YOU, feel like we do? You will when the 2012 Ocean City Mountain Dew Tour starts rolling Thursday, August 16 - Sunday August 19 on the beach IN FRONT OF THE PURPLE MOOSE! Last year the Moose was the place to look for the athletes relaxing after competing in this world-class event, so make the Moose your Dew Tour head-hunting-quarters.
    Hail to the Chief: Whitehouse Effect takes the stage Friday and Saturday, August 10 and 11. Ahmad and his crew of seasoned musicians are campaigning on a platform of rockin’ good times, and we ain’t talkin’ about no tea party! It’s time to raise the flag and see who salutes at the Purple Moose Saloon, Ocean City’s ONLY boardwalk nightclub, located between Talbot and Caroline Streets in Olde Town.  All shows begin at 10pm.
    Pulling into the station on Sunday and Monday, August 12 and 13, it’s Great Train Robbery. Go off the rails with these classic rockers who are always on-time for good times. Watch Will play Stevie Ray Vaughn like he died, went to heaven, and came back again! If you like fast fingers, don’t linger, get your ticket punched and catch these guitar slingers.
    On Tuesday, August 14, Hyjinx takes you to the heights with Meghan’s soaring vocals, and the best mix of today’s hit singles and yesterday’s homeruns. Whether it’s Michael Jackson or Lady Gaga, you’ll feel light on your feet and ready to Tweet: “It’s high-times at the Purple Moose with Hyjinx!”
    Then on Wednesday, August 15, the Moose welcomes comedian Colin Kane and his irreverent comedy mayhem. After a two-year gig at Caroline’s in New York City, and having played to thousands at Madison Square Garden, Colin is here to cheer you and get you laughing through the night.     Kicking off the first night of the Dew Tour in Ocean City, Bon Jovi tribute band Crossroads arrives at the intersection of fun and good times on Thursday, August 16. Hold on to your drinks ‘cuz they’re slippery when wet; if you don’t show up you’ll give love a bad name, because you’re wanted … well ... you know how you’re wanted! If you're looking for the best in entertainment, you don't need a gps, 'cuz all roads lead to Crossroads at the World Famous Purple Moose Saloon.

    Is this house a'rockin?  If I'm a liar, my pants are on fire, honest it's The Cheaters, those southern-fried whiskey-fueled electric jewels shining Sunday and Monday, August 4 and 5. Currently touring America, soon to be in Europe, these guys lay their musical cards on the table, so come to the Moose and be a part of the full-house!
    Then, if you're feeling low, come dance with Megan & Hyjinx on Tuesday, August 6. Her voice is incredible. I have had numerous people tell me when they see her perform that they only were coming in for one drink but just couldn't leave.  They'll get you on your feet so you feel the beat with no retreat until you get high with Hyjinx.
    Don't take off those dancing shoes!  Wave your tails in the air, wave your tails in the air, cats n' kittens all's fair in love and DJ Calico's in da house! I bet you didn't know that all cats are communists: they all go around chanting "Mao, Mao!" It's a dance revolution on Wednesday, August 7.  
Now grab an antler and walk this way because Aerosmith tribute band Toys in the Attic keeps rockin' the dream on Thursday, August 8. You  know the classic sound that's kept generations livin' on the edge. They're back in the Moose's saddle, so don't be the last child through our door.  You'll shake the dust off yer ass when you come up to see Toys in the Attic!

On the south end, even when using the crosswalk, you take your life in your hands, but at least if you get hit in the crosswalk, you got a good lawsuit.
