Hey OC, what's up?  Summer is flying by; let's hope that's all that will be flying this weekend!  Dorothy has left the building!
    This week we are gonna rock OCEAN CITY with some of the BEST Entertainment and you don't want to miss it!  First let’s start off with this weekend: SLAMM is here tonight and Saturday night. They are from Philly and are the house band for the Flyers, so you know they rock.  Sunday and Monday night, Slim Jimmy will be shaking the place up with some good ol' classic and southern rock, plus NO COVER. Tuesday and Wednesday night, DOC HOLLYWOOD returns. Last time they were here, the crowd went wild. You got to check this band out, that's if you want to have a good time, also NO COVER.
    And then Thursday night, National Recording Artist: FUEL will be here and there are four opening acts scheduled: rebel inc,  Pale,  Park Lane,  and  WhiteHouse Effect. Those of you who visit the Moose regularly have seen Whitehouse Effect and you all know how much you love this band, so let’s show them some love, OC!!! Pale and Park Lane are on tour with FUEL and rocking out, so let’s just say this should be a great evening of music for all!  For those of you who made it last year to the FUEL show, you know how great of a show they put on, so we should expect no less this year.     There is still time to rock in Summer 2011 Ocean City!
    This Sunday, August 21st, national recording artist Lita Ford hits the  Moose's stage. Lita began her career as lead guitarist with Joan Jett and the Runaways until she found her guitar chops and worked her way up the charts. Come hear her thrash through hits like "Kiss Me Deadly" and "Close My Eyes Forever", a duet she performed with Ozzy Osbourne that rose to #8 on Billboard's Hit list. Tickets are available online at www.purplemoose.com and are $35 in advance, $45 at the door.  Opening for Lita Ford will be American Sugar Bitch and Great Train Robbery.  Doors open at 7pm and you must be 21 years of age to enter.
    This week's entertainment is as follows. On Friday and Saturday, August 19th and 20th, WhiteHouse Effect. Monday, August 22nd, Great Train Robbery.  Tuesday and Wednesday, August 23rd and 24th, Under The Covers (a great new band that opened for our KIX show this summer). On Thursday, August 25th, a tribute to Alice Cooper. Welcome to our nightmare as Mr. Niceguy slithers through Alice's greatest hits. No babies please ! ;)
    Coming to the Purple Moose on September 1st, national recording artist FUEL makes their second appearance on the World Famous Purple Moose Stage.  Tickets are available in advance at www.purplemoose.com.  Opening acts will be rebel inc. and WhiteHouse Effect.

    Hey OC, where has this summer gone? It's August already, WOW!!! Do  you remember when we were kids and time couldn't move fast enough, couldn't wait to turn 16 so we could drive, 18 to drink, vote and get out of the house. Now I turn my head and a year has gone by, amazing!
    Anyway with our time left for the summer at the Purple Moose Saloon, we have filled our calendar with unbelievable music. First and foremost this Tuesday, August 9th, National Recording Artist COLD will hit the Purple Moose stage along with opening acts Rebel Inc. and Fuzzbox Piranha, doors open at 7, and you can get tickets on line or at the door for $25. Don't miss this incredible show.
    SURREAL is here this weekend and you know they always throw a good party, so get here early.  On Thursday August 11, the GLIMMER TWINS will rock the Moose with a tribute to the Rolling Stones. Cover is $5 at the door. This is gonna be one of those tribute acts you just don't want to miss!
    I had a chance this weekend to go out with my girls, Brenda and Terri. We had a wonderful time; dinner at the bury and then a movie. Thanks, ladies, for a great time.  We went to see “Harry Potter,” what a great movie, and a most fitting end to the saga.  Take time to enjoy friends, live, love and laugh, until next week...Peace, Char
